Communications Manager, Corporate Marketing Department
Ullico Inc., headquartered in Washington, DC, is actively recruiting a Manager for the Corporate Communications and Marketing Department. This position will report to the Chief Communications Officer and will primarily be responsible for executing media relations activities for the department.
The job duties are as follows:
• Establish relationships with members of the media on behalf of the company; prepare and pitch stories to reporters, and create fact sheets, op-eds, and other materials used to inform key media targets primarily in business, financial and labor media.
• Develop targeted media lists for company and its individual business units (and proactively reach out to key media as necessary).
• Prepare media relations materials; coordinate media activities and outreach related to corporate events and conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Corporate Communications and Marketing Department on communications programs; assist in development and implementation of public relations campaigns for the company.
• Manage media-related activities for corporate events and industry conferences.
• Write feature articles/web content/a-v scripts/speeches/presentations.
Our candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English or a related field. Excellent written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail are critical for this role. The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of media relations experience. Specific experience relating to developing, coordinating, and executing national and key target market media strategies; including social media tactics is essential. This person will have financial relations experience and familiarity with VOCUS PR and Marketing suites is a plus. Outstanding organizational skills as well as the ability to perform under pressure, meet various deadlines, and exercise good judgment is a must. This dynamic individual will have the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of personnel. He/she must have familiarity with Microsoft office suite.

Director, Infrastructure Investments Chicago, IL, Investment Management Department
Ullico Inc., headquartered in Washington, DC, is actively recruiting a Director, Infrastructure Investments. The dynamic candidate will work with the Portfolio Manager as part of the portfolio team on the entire investment process from origination through portfolio management including refinancing and realization of the investment. This person will be involved in all aspects of the underwriting process. This leadership opportunity is located in Chicago, IL.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sourcing potential transactions
- Managing transaction pipeline
- Performing due diligence
- Building and working with financial models
- Structuring finance (debt and equity)
- Working with investment and operating partners
- Managing third-party due diligence process and analyzing their findings
- Preparing investment proposals and presenting findings to the investment committee
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field. An MBA is preferred but not required. He/she must also have 3 - 7 years of post graduate experience in infrastructure industry, banking, or private equity. Demonstrated technical and quantitative skills are a must. The ideal candidate must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. Our candidate must be willing to work in an entrepreneurial environment and has a strong desire to focus on infrastructure investing.
